Growing up, a lot of us would spend hours upon hours conjuring up the wedding dress of our dreams in our mind’s eye.

As we would grow older, our tastes would change. Trends would come in and out like the seasons, and naturally we would add a few adjustments here and there. Perhaps this meant ditching the princess style strapless tulle gown for a more understated lace or silk affair. Or maybe it meant trading in that bejewelled tiara that we just knew we’d always want for some modest-but-whimsical floral hair accessories.

You get the idea, we’ve all been there. However, its fair wonder how many of us would ever go as far to consider ditching the dress for a jumpsuit on our special day. But alas, times are changing! The bridal jumpsuit is making a loud and unapologetic entry to the bridal fashion scene.

You know what they say – waste not, want not – and the same concept can be applied to choosing a bridal jumpsuit!

If you’re daring enough, you could even consider saying your goodbyes to the legs of your bridal jumpsuit and altering it into a playsuit to be worn at events during the warmer months. Not to mention, with the average wedding dress doing sufficient enough damage at around $1,500, you’ll likely not be looking at spending anywhere near as much on a bridal jumpsuit. Money-savvy brides, rejoice!

Comfort
Comfort is a factor that is becoming more and more important to brides nowadays, with many ditching formality for functionality. The jumpsuit significantly lowers the possibility of a wardrobe malfunction while providing you with the freedom to move – and most importantly, the ability to have the time of your life on the dance-floor.

For those of you looking to say ‘I do’ in the winter months, or perhaps getting married outdoors, you’ll need not worry about your pins freezing in any cold breezes.

Breaking tradition
Nowadays, couples are ditching the status quo for a more customized experience that fits their own wants and desires – whatever they may be. If you feel that you fit into this category, the jumpsuit may very well be the way to go! It’s the perfect fit for the modern brides that are leaning towards a more unique wedding and are inclined towards breaking with the status quo.

For the bride that is making their second, third or maybe even fourth trip down the aisle, the bridal jumpsuit can be the perfect fit. Bridal jumpsuits hold more of an opportunity to be understated, mature and classy.
